Christmas in July

I've wanted to try this technique for a while. I've been putting it off because I thought it would be difficult. Guess what? It isn't at all! Don't forget to comment so we can enter you to win the random drawing! Details below along with the links to all the blog members. Enjoy!

Step 1: Apply Pool Party Ink to the top of Woodland Embossing Folder. Be sure you choose the right side to put the ink on...it's the side where the trees are sunken in. I dabbed some in off to make the sky a little more random.

Step 2: Randomly stamp trees in the background with Old Olive and Garden Green Inks. I also stamped the small deer with Early Espresso.

Step 3: This is what your folder will look like when done stamping.

Step 4: Gently lay the cardstock in the folder and I use painters tape at the sides to make sure it doesn't move while embossing.

Step 5: Remove cardstock from folder and clean remaining ink off folder.

Step 6: I added some shadows under the trees, on the birch trees, and highlighted the deer with a brush and Early Espresso Ink. I stamped the sentiment and images for inside the card. They were mounted on Pool Party Cardstock. I added some WInk of Stella for shimmer and embossing paste for texture.
